Description
Rational Acoustics’ Smaart Application Practicums focus on using the Smaart measurement platform in “real world” professional audio engineer work. They examine the implementation of the information presented in the Smaart Basics or Operator Fundamentals classes – the various measurement capabilities, control parameters, data reading, and measurement rig configuration skills – in using Smaart as a tool for professional sound system engineering tasks.
All Smaart Application Practicum session provides an overview of the Practicum’s example application(s), including the application goals and standard processes for employing Smaart in that task. A review of the Smaart measurement rig being used and an in-depth strategy for evaluating its functionality (i.e., setting up and checking your Smaart rig). Hands-on demonstrations and practice sessions of the Smaart application with an in-depth discussion of real-world data interpretation.
The class will be generally taught in English but can be taught in Norwegian as well, should all participants agree. The class materials are in English, though. Accommodation is not included in the price. However, basic refreshments (coffee, water, etc.) are included.
Please bring a laptop with Smaart (demo or licensed) and a sound card.
