Smaart Educational Partnership Program

The Smaart Educational Partnership Program provides partner institutions with deeply discounted multi-install licenses for Smaart or Smaart Data Modeler. This enables schools and universities to equip entire computer and audio labs with industry-standard acoustic measurement tools. Partner institutions also receive training materials and discounts on personal licenses for faculty and students.

Benefits of Enrolling in the Smaart Educational Partnership Program

By joining the program, educational institutions gain:

  • Discounted Educational Multi-Install Licenses (EML) for Smaart (any edition) and Smaart Data Modeler.
  • Access to Smaart educational training materials for instructor-led courses.
  • Discounts on personal licenses for faculty and enrolled students.
  • Permission to use Smaart software logos in course descriptions and program materials.

Educational Multi-Install License (EML) Pricing

  • Pricing is available in our shop—select the EML variant in the drop-down menu.
  • EMLs are priced per installation, with a 10-install minimum.

EML License Restrictions

  • The institution program or department must sign the Educational License Supplemental Terms before delivery.
  • EML licenses may only be installed on institution-owned computers within the registered program or department.
  • EML software cannot be installed on student or faculty personal devices.

Training Materials for Educational Partners

Smaart Educational Partners can request access to selected Rational Acoustics training materials. These materials may only be used as part of instructor-supervised courses and may not be publicly distributed in print or electronically.

Faculty and Student License Discounts

Once an EML is purchased:

  • Faculty and currently enrolled students may buy individual Smaart or Smaart Data Modeler licenses at 50% off the published list price.
  • Discounts apply to perpetual licenses only; subscription licenses are excluded.
  • Verification of enrolment or employment is required via the Student/Staff Verification Form.

Important: To qualify for the student/staff discount, the institution must hold a current version EML. Previous-version EML holders have a 6-month grace period after a major new release to purchase a new EML before the discount expires.

Upgrading From a Previous Version

Due to the deeply discounted pricing of Smaart EMLs, upgrade pricing is not offered. Institutions wishing to upgrade must purchase a full new EML for the current version.
