This week, 15 aspiring Smaart operators from across Norway and Sweden have gathered at the Riksteatret in Oslo to take part in an intensive training course in sound system measurement and optimization using the industry-leading Smaart platform.
With the first two days now behind us, the course enters its second phase—an intensive, hands-on exploration of practical system measurement techniques. This segment of the training will focus on real-world applications of Smaart in tuning and aligning sound systems, giving participants the tools they need to ensure top-level performance in live and installed sound environments.
Led by certified instructor Thomas Züllich and hosted at one of Norway’s premier theatrical institutions, the training offers a rare opportunity for sound professionals and enthusiasts to develop core competencies in system analysis, transfer function measurements, and acoustic verification.
The participants—representing a diverse range of professional backgrounds from both Norway and Sweden—bring a shared commitment to elevating audio quality in their respective fields. This week’s course is not just about learning software; it’s about building a deeper understanding of how sound behaves in space, and how that knowledge can be applied to deliver clearer, more consistent results for audiences everywhere.
